Year 3 Review
Visiting my brother and sister in law in Florida, it was brought to my attention that I hadn’t completed Year 3 Review. So, well, here it is.
I’ve been thinking a lot of sustainability lately, again. Specifically, around measurement. But more on that later.
Year 2 Review
Profitability is key as margins are tight in agriculture especially when there’s so many great nearby farms. In addition, I watch folks buying from big box grocery stores where products are shipped globally. Little value is placed on local farms growing all natural and made available to you fresh. There ain’t nothin better than fresh veggies - the taste can’t be denied.
Software Carbon Intensity?
When Microsoft announced of the Green Software Foundation (GSF), I jumped at the opportunity to join the initiative and went all in - joining 3 out of 4 working groups. As a developer and a sustainability advocate, I’m keen to understand and help reduce the amount of carbon we emit as a farm, but also in my job working with software and customers.

Year 1 Review
I’m just wondering if time could go any faster, I mean - here we are …. ending our first year of being an official farm in what felt like record speed. And you know what? What an incredible year - full of constant learning, hard work, and the BEST amount of satisfaction. Starting a farm during a pandemic, definitely had its challenges.
